Parents and caregivers who raise multilingual children are their language models, coaches and advocates, especially when school and community don’t support the home languages to the expected extent.

We need a multilingual village to raise multilingual children.

  1. Hello!

I came across your study on the Greek diaspora and the challenges families face, and I wanted to introduce Parlini Land.

Parlini Land is an app for children aged 2–6, designed specifically with bilingual and multilingual families in mind. The app includes learning games available in multiple languages, with activities built around key preschool learning outcomes using creative, play-based approaches.

What makes Parlini Land unique is that parents can easily choose the language their child plays in — including Greek and English — all within the same app.

Our games are low-stimulation, calming, and non-hypnotic. All voiceovers are recorded by real people, with no use of AI.

  2. Hi,

I would like to share BookaBooka, a picture-book app I’ve built for children aged 2–8. It contains hundreds of picture books in 25+ languages. Kids can read or listen in one language or two languages at the same time — which has been really helpful for bilingual and multilingual families, NT2 learners, and expat kids.

The goal is simple: make reading joyful and language exposure natural (no drills, no pressure).

If anyone here is always looking for more multilingual reading materials, this might be a nice fit. Would love to hear your thoughts!
